I'm only new at this place and would like to speak on behalf of Jenny (Girlpowerrx7), wife of Luis (Tyresmokinrx7).

I'm Mike Innes and have been a friend of Luis and Jens for a while and about 5 months ago, we had the unfortunate loss of Luis.

After having a bad car accident awhile ago, he was recovering well, until he started having alot of headaches. After getting a MRI scan, they noticed a big tumer on his brain. After alot of tests, they decided to operate.

Unfortunately, during the operation, things went down hill and he entered into a coma. 3 weeks into the coma, we received the news that nobody wanted to hear.

Jen took the news pretty hard and with little Jessica (Luis/Jen little girl), things aren't looking good.

He was a good bloke and always found time to help other. He always spoke about Nopistons.com and how much fun he had talking to everyone.

I never knew what a rotary was until I met Luis and now im a proud owner of a Rx5.

He will be dearly missed by all of us and we thought to notify Nopistons of this.

Thanks for your time

Mike.

Would this be the same wreck in the RX8 where the airbags didnt work? Heres what Luis said about that:

[quote name='TyresmokinRx7' date='May 25 2004, 01:18 PM']Well, what can I say. I know there's one Rx8 less in Australia, Thanks to a truck driver.

I'll let you guy's picture it.

Your driving down the main street doing 80km/h (55mph) and you come to an intersection with light's and it's green for you, so you drive through, but the truck driver thinks he doesn't need to stop. So he T bones me at speed, (police said he was speeding, doing 60mph) and all I can remember is the car going sideways and hitting a light post.

Next thing I remember is being in hospital with a sore body.

Broken parts: Left Coller bone, 5 broken ribes on the right side, Fractured pelves, Broken right wrist and a very bad headache.

2 weeks later, I'm out of the hospital and 3 days after, had a look at what's supposed to be a Rx8 and what panels weren't damaged the rescue services ripped to get me out of the car.

The only thing is, WHERE THE HELL WAS THE AIR BAGS.

Jen's was in shock for 2 days, and now she's fine. The police notified me that the driver had a blood alcohol of 3 times the limit. BASTARD.

So, What's been happening lately with you guy's?

Do they think the tumor had something to do with the wreck? If so Jen and Jessica could at least not have to worry about money for a long time.

That would be it. He did mention something about knocking his head during the accident, but the hospital said that there was no damage to his head, well at least to the outside of it.

And that was a sweet car. He let me drive it once, to the local shop and from there I was intreged and intrested.

I had wondered why we hadn't seen him in some time, I had spoken with him quite a bit off forum a very nice guy and someone who will be missed around here no doubt.

I really do appreciate the post here and hope that we can come up with something nice to honor him here.

He will be missed!

I hope that heaven will treat Luis well and may he be always looking down on us rotary owners from above. I also hope the truck driver gets shot in the face numerous times.

Rest in peace brother.
