Does anyone else get the "gonna tear up" feeling while they're driving AWDs?

I was not impressed with it. It felt heavy. My ******* 88 N/A rx-7 had more power then a 05 WRX(non-sti). Just more weight on it.

his 60 ft was a 2.2 he got to the track kind of late and he only got one run in cause 2 cars in a row broke and sprayed oil on the track. Bye the time they cleaned up the track they closed. His trap was 105 btw.

But it was a nice car i rode in it and drove it once or twice. Good power, and he still got over 20mpg. Felt kinda soft in the turns though.

2.2 is garbage for awd, but then again the conditions...

a stock wrx is a mid 14 sec car, so seeing 13's with mods is reasonable.

anyone with a close to stock TII take one? howd you do?

I test drove the wrx and it was dissapointing. My mostly stock rx7 with leaking turbos would walk away from it. The dick at the dealership wouldn't let my drive the STI. Aparently it is too fast of a car to let people test drive w/o a contract. Wasn't impressed w/ the EVO either. Both of them felt sluggish and I didn't think handling was that good. Hard to turn a sedan into a sports car even w/ all the goodies. I was looking at both cars for a DD, but I decided I am going to get another Land Rover since my wife stole mine. Basically I am saying spend less money on a 3rd gen get a faster car. Do some mods and have a much faster car.
