I bet you he had 3.73 gear or maybe 4.11s, the fbody crew (by the way i'm a fbody semi-maniac) is real big on 1/4 mile gears rather than highway gears unless FI is in the picture. fi he had stock 3.23 gears things would have been slightly different.
He had a 12 bolt rear. and heads and cam (maybe some n20). regular 11 sec fbod.
Also he was an LT1, which is inferior to the ls1 (98 and up) in top end, rpms, milage and power, you should race a ls1. Lt1s (93-97) are low end specialists.

PS: Trans ams can't be formulas...Formulas are the ones that look like v6s, trans ams have the big hoods.
