Last friday I had some fun with an Audi TT. He came up behind me on I-5 at 3:00 am. I was down to race, there were no cars out. So I started to pace him up till about 115 mph then we hit a little traffic and both slowed down to about 80 - 85 mph. I ducked over to the carpool lane and had nothing but open road ahead. I downshifted to third, and stomped on it. Rode third out till 8,000 rpm. By now the TT was far behind. Shifted to fourth and kept the peddal to the floor. The Audi tried to keep up, but wasn't doing too well. Rode fourth out untill about 8,000 rpm and looked at my speedometer it was over 130 mph! The Audi was still behind me. Then I slowed down to take my exit. It was fun!

 

Damn the Audi TT is supposed to be a bad *** too!!! Sounds like you sent him out to spend some more cash on his Volkswagon... I mean Audi. :biggrin:

 

Yep, I think that it had the small, shitty engine in it. At first he was slowly starting to pull ahead, but I hadn't downshifted yet.

 

My father has a '99 Audi A6 quattro..its actually pretty quick, was a good race for my car...stock, lol. Now its just a joke. The Audi TTs aren't that great either, my aunt has one, its not that fast...you have to get the nice high $$$$ if you want speed! Oh well..nice run though..too bad no pics of over 130MPH....
