Its not sopposed to be.

This is why everybody is dissapointed about the rx8.

It is NOT an rx-7, nor was it ment to compare to the FD.

They are very different cars. My feeling is that mazda will have something out for the more *sports car* minded people soon enough.
Exactly

And who knows how commted this guy was to racing/revving his brand new motor.

P.S. The good new is that I've been hearing some rumors about either a turbo RX-8 and or the return of the "7". From what I understand is that they are keeping it on very low-down, so as to not effect sales of the current RX-8. But if it happens the new "7" will have all the performance you can ask for.

are you trying to pretend you have inside info or something? cause yuore just spouting the same rumors that have been floating since they first showed off the rx8.

I've always been happy with what Mazda brings out, as long as it has a rotor in it. In the beggining I used to race against rotor and brag about it, but no good came from it.

I've heard rumors that the RX-8 is in development with a 20B type motor... Could be true, might not be. Regardless an N/A 20B RX-8 is Godly.
