a few weeks ago actually.

we were on 287 coming north near morristown.

going about 70 and i drop it to fourth.

no contest.

we did it several times.

guy looked pissed as he got off the highway. i actually gave him a thumbs up and he hit me with the anry face. wtf?

i thought these cars were supposed to be quick.

i have a near stock sr20det running 7 psi on a t25/t3. (a MILDLY upgraded stock t25)

wow... mazda's best effort to date happned a decade ago with the fd... the rx8 is less than impressive.

I like the 8. Pretty nifty car if you ask me. Nowhere near the 7 performance wise.

Give the Rx8 a couple of years and you'll see some fast one's running turbo's.

Its merely a matter of history moving to repeat itself.. I don't believe Mazda is going to leave the RX8 as it is.. if my memory serves me correctly.. RX7s were first N/A... Mazda will step up when it realizes it may lose buyers to better performance for the buck cars like the SRT4, Evo VIII, STi to name a few. Give it a year or so... It'll be interesting to see how Mazda makes up for the RX8s shortcomings.. which the only one I've noticed is the misadvertisement of power output... other than that the RX8 is stellar.. just needs more power and the playing field should level out for a truly climactic power battle between marques.. Cheers

It's not as much a thourough bred sports car as the 7. It stood no chance.
