Just curious, because I 've challenged a couple vetttes but none respond some are old geezers, most of the time they don't care, Its either that or on the highway and already goin with a rolling start that they respond? But has anybody challenged a vette off a red light in an fd? what was the out come? Thanks.

 

i haven't done it, but a lightly modded fd should take it in a close race. it's all about the launch. and good luck finding a vette drivin by someone other than an old man or a middle aged woman, cuz that's all i see driving them. the Z06, however, is another story.

 

Yes....I raced a red Automatic. It was a C5 and we raced from a stop on a long *** road. I had him the whole way but he was able to keep up. One time an old guy tried to race me in his yellow ZO6. I revved but when the light turned green he took off and I drove off really slow. A cop pulled out right behind him but didn't pull him over. Funny none the less.

 

My dad has a C5. I havent raced him yet, but my fd's faster.

 

Ok A friend of mine owns a 01' Z06. they really haul ***!!! it will take a tuned FD to be a Z06. a stock FD would get smoked !

 

I took a vert. C5 just today. It wasn't from a dead stop, he'd have killed me badly if it was though.

 

I dont know i woudl take any vette even a Z06. I dont care if it even has a few mods done to it. When your puttin 400 Hp to the ground with less weight the vette is gettin own3d.

Hey I took a c5 vert today at a light, This how we line up the lane that he is in ahead of my lane like 2feet {dot design} and my front bumper was where he gas cover is light turn green we took off he nail and I did and red 1 & 2nd to 8500 leave him about 4 car lenghts, Also he a manual cause when he nail it, It backfire which I never hear a vett backfire before? Also I am running 12 psi boost and my motor & turbo is very strong .

 

Damn.. 4 car lengths.. does that include the almost car length start head had over you? What all mods do you have? Backfiring.. there may have been something wrong with the vette..
