Pull up to a light at 1 am on glen cove in long island. while im waiting up pulls a highly riced out civic coupe. full body kit, rims, tach and typical buzzy *** rice exhaust. ive only had my rx-7 for 3 months now an havent lost to a civic yet. he inches up and i see vtec and sir on the side. dead give away. i think sir? yeah right probly a dx. so he revs it up and i give it a half effort start and he burns me off the light. so i floor it and only manage to stay even like 2 cars back. the next light we stop again. i roll down my window and ask him what hes got. he tells me hes runnning a turbo. i figure hey finally some competition. he then tells me to go f--k of cuz he dosnt have time to play. typical civc driver. i rev it up wait for the light and off we go. hes got me at the launch by at least 3/4 a car. i hit second and start to gain as i get to 6g rpm. by the time i hit redline and get into 3rd im even and gaining more. by 110 mph ive got 2-3 car lenghts and slow down. he does the typical flyby as if hes won.. what a loser.. and drives away... GOD i love beating civics btw anyone want to venture a guess on how much hp a civic with a turbo would make? im running a basically stock gtu with a k+n and a cat bck

I raced a civic with nitrous once.. I kicked his *** untill he used it and passed me ... We didnt go a full quarter, i stopped after he gained on me, i was a little upset at that ... thats ok, i see him around alot, so i'll be back

seems since i put the RB mufflers on every ciivic si in town wants to play. Just last night picking someone up from the train some uber-riced civic si started ******* with me on a pretty open road... I just chilled and kept cruising at the limit but he wouldnt lay off accelerating / taunting next to me then the bitch cut me off right before a red light at the end of this road. So I change lanes and get up next to him, we both leave the light nice and I leave it in 2nd cruisin around 40ish next to him, blip the gas a few times and he's ready to play.. Next light comin up and it's red, turns green right as we approach it and we both punch it. I thought my car was loud but **** once the vtec kicks in those si's with the ricey exhausts are *loud*, I thought he might pull on me but I kept into it up to 8k in 2nd and he faded away but I could stil hear him banging away, so I dragged out 3rd to around 100 and hit the flashers... he turned off at the next intersection, having those aux ports wired open really makes the top come alive.



Most ricers suck, just because they generally won't race. I don't mind the ones that play, this guy was alright in my book, >2X the speed limit in one of the most patrolled areas in town, it's all good Although cutting me off wasnt necessary.



Too bad my license is going to be suspended for 6 months after august, too many speeding tickets . grr.



nice kill, destroy all those ******* RPE's, except nsx's and lotuses, yum.

car is down right now for rebuild though, getting series 5 VDI manifold and probably series 5 rotors+counterweights, and street port, possibly turbo intermediate and rotor housings too, not sure yet

I raced a REAL civic Type R when I first arrived in Okinawa. I had intake, catback, and spark plug wires...that's it. He had ported/polished heads, stroke 1.8, Power FC, Ignition, Intake, catback, hedders...LOTS of stuff. We would be dead even until 3rd gear where he would start to pull on me....



Oh, I was driving a Zenkei TII.



Then I bought a fuel pump, a boost controller and an S-AFC. I turned the boost up with the appropriate amount of fuel, and WHOOPED his ***...



...he was a good friend of mine too...same car club. After that day, I told myself I would NEVER lose to any honda...NSX or not...
