my friends 86 sport with just exhaust(well he kinda got ripped off and had like 1 3/4 or 2 inch piping from the stock exhaust mani to the just before the mufflers where it went to like 2 1/2), with bad oil ring seals(it smoked like a *****), and a 300 pound guy did 15.8 on the quarter. stock everything except for the lousy exhaust with no cats and 2 new mufflers....no one believe it, but we witnessed it.

he even did better than a guy with a 89 or 90 GTU, who will remain nameless.

if rotary chainsaw has the white NA with teh turbo 2 hood, he knows who im talking about. james with the beat up tornado silver 86 sport...
Nah I got a regular hood. I also don't know who your talking about.

They had three Del-Sol models, The Del-Sol S, Si and VTEC

Del-Sol Si motor is the 1.6 SOHC VTEC D16Z6 125hp@6600rpm 106tq@5200rpm

Del-Sol VTEC motor is 1.6 DOHC VTEC B16A3 160hp@7600rpm 111tq@7000rpm

I don't see what all the "V-Tech" hype is all about. I raced this 98 civic fully modded, boost controller, column gauges, body kit, exhaust, everything. I had an '86 rx-7 with everything stock, and I SPANKED HIM!!! I was laughing, cause I thought he was gonna tear me up, but I just kept pullin' away......Then again, maybe he was just a crappy driver....

This is wrong. The SI only came with the 160hp dohc vtec motor. Don't know if the sohc motor was the vtec or not But I am familiar with the SI. If you don't have the dohc vtec motor then you don't have a Del Sol SI.

The H22A is an awesome motor, for any car, not just honda. There's a guy around here with a 95 civic hatch with a JDM h22a swap. It runs a 13.67 with intake and exhaust. and he's not rice, he has stock body and stock rims with no hubcaps just flat black. Last night i was hangin out down there with all of the other guys with cars and he raced a 99 comaro ss, and killed it.

rx-2 you are wrong, 1point3 is right. the si and vtec are two different models. he also stated the proper engine codes and power figures. the same holds true for 92-96 preludes. the vtec had 190hp from the h22a while the si had 160hp from the h23
