Well, About the 2nd week I had my 88TII I burned out my clutch. I killed it off a freeway offramp and all this white smoke was coming out of the engine bay. My first thought was I blew my motor, so I was standing outside of my car smoking and thinking about what I'm gonna do. I was waiting out there for maybe 3 hours till the tow truck came and I couldnt leave my car there alone cause it was a red zone and it was rush hour. During My 3 hour wait, About 3 Rx-7's drove by and all reved on me. 2 First Gens and 1 2nd Gen (TII). So that kinda pissed me off that they would do that. They reved on their own kind when stranded in trouble. But I got the payback today.

I went out to go buy some ice cream for my daughter and when I got back to my car there was a guy asking some people outside the cigarette shop whose car that is (Meaning Mine). So I come out and see his TII next to mine and we start talking and he said "Oh yeah, I think I saw you off the freeway about a month ago, What happened to your car." So I tell him what happened and he started to laugh, so I got even more pissed and I told him lets runs.

We get out onto the street, its about 7:45 at night just a couple of cars on the street. So we bone out, even in first gear and second gear but i guess he missed 3rd gear (Lack of Driving Skills) at least thats my thought, and I kick his *** by 7 car lengths. So since I already kicked his *** and feel a lot better about what happened when I burned out my clutch I head home with a smile on my face.

I know I killed another 7, but it's still a kill right?

:P :P :P

Hey...A kill is a kill, IMO!!

It still says something about your car, no matter who you burned!

Besides, sounds like he totally had it coming to him!! LMAO!!! Hope he drove home humbled!

GOOD STORY!

Question

I just joined this post and noticed this. This SUCKS! I was in a situation recently where I was driving through Dallas in my '88 TII and saw a FELLOW "Rexer" on the side of the road also in a second gen but N/A. I was VERY busy, rush hour I think. But I didn't go by and rev my engine! I stopped and asked what the problem was. I didn't see the blown tire on the passengers side, her spare was trashed also! I didn't want her to leave that close to cherry RX on the highway so I pulled my spare and got it on hers. I just told her to follow me to the nearest gas station and we had it fixed. While we waited we had a few beers. Now THAT is the way it SHOULD be right? I mean us crazies with the weird motor SHOULD watch out for one another ESPECIALLY since most people don't know **** about our engines! Sorry to hear that happen but it wouldn't have if I were on the freeway that day!
