well just recently i got my first car! the car of choice you ask? well i saved all my damn hard earned cash all summer and bought me a 1985 rx7 (gsl) with some kinda sports package on it (headers, 2in piping and some kinda glasspack).

after i got it home i decided to start working on it because when i bought it they guy had sold it to me non running, but hey its not bad for 1,000 when it has all that and an LSD. soo me and my firends stayed all night workin on it and we finally got it running after we saw it was a fuseable link.

Right after i got it running i though, hey lets see what my pirde and joy can do. sooo, i opened it up WOT, and rightaway tires slipin out of first and alittle chirp in second.

after all that my friend ej said," hey my car is still faster then yours." mind you he has a 1984 monte carlo SS. and i didnt want to race him because of the fact that his car has a lot of torque and mine is a little.....less then his. i was all na man untill he said," ohh well i bet i'd win anyways." only one thing popped into my head........................."only one way to find out."

so there we are at some stop sign with his big ol V8 in my damn face and there goes me with my wonderful rotary sound commin from my 12a, and i'm scared crazy, because i never raced anyone in any car in any shape or fasion. soon after my friend says go, we're off and right from the start ej has traction problems and i'm off with bringing one home for the FB.

ps. we raced again, and i lost, i had traction props this time.

(sorry its a bit long)

actually, I wouldn't doubt that a 12a could rap a v8. there were some pretty slow shitboxes out there mid-eighties. I've driven a GSLSE, they're not slow!

Hey, not bad for your first time. As many have said, the launches only get better with practice. You'll do fine if you keep at it! ^_^

Nice Job! Keep racing and you'll get the hang of the launch.
