Street races in the dirty south

(i didn't know exactly where to post this since it involved some kills but here goes.)
ok so its not the rice and the furious(dont get me wrong i love that movie) but we do have some pretty kewl *** stuph happen here in buminham.
Saturday night is the nationals where anybody and every body who is into cars comes to a parking lot right off the interstate and mills around until the cops chase us off. from there we go to lakeshore drive, this long stretch of divided highway with one light and no traffic. this is where the first racing of the night happens two cars line up and they go while everybody not racing is watching from the side of the road. last saturday i saw a beefy 80somthing 5.0 smoke a camaro with a cowl-induction hood. a couple of honda's went at it but i fell asleep before they finished. eventually the cops arrive and there is at least 150 cars tearing *** out of there (it's a site to see) b/c lakeshore cops suck. from there we go to my favorite part. many many cars most with loud exhaust cruisin throught the city streets trying to make it to the Dr. Pepper bottling plant before everyone else to get a good spot, the noise echoing off the buildings is spritual and loud as ****. generally by this time any body too slow to stay with the pack has gotten lost. at second an old trans-am and an old chevelle went at it and i saw a civic hatch doing a donut in an adjacent parking lot. unfortunately the cops showed up and we had to go to 3rd ave south. this was the highlight of my night. we parked behind a camaro with a tag that said stroked and two dudes were playing with blowtorches in the back. not knowing what they were doing i walked up and asked. when they showed me the two huge *** bottles of nitrous they were warming i freaked. a 383 stroker with a ton of nitrous OMG. while this was going on a civic hatch beat a crx. the stroker was about to line up with the mustang from earlier in the night but the popo showed up again adn we left. from there they went to a place called derby but we didnt follow i had to have my friend home by curfew.
all in all the night was fun i was in the only 7 out there but as you can probably tell there isnt much of a showing for imports in the dirty south.
all i need now is a nopistons.com sticker to rep with.
