bwahahahaha... My car is very streetable and it's actually setup for Touge/Road racing so FD's, GTR's, Silvia's and whatever else that may roam the ville do not scare me me at all. I out ran quite a few FD's on the Touge runs of North Tokyo but that is attributed more to driver skill than the power of the car.

I got hard 4th gear scratch with the OS Clutch and walked many a fast GT-R If we were rolling at 50kph or faster and got on it.... I couldn't do **** off the line though... Point is some of you guys in here need to get a clue, hell some of you sound like Rice boys the way you talk **** with out knowing what your talking about..

Some of you need to bump in to this CR-X and get taught a lesson..
Well ****. Someone else in here has a clue. I ran mid 12's in a full interior GSR with a Greddy 18g turbo. I can SO be done.

Not EVERY RX7 is capable of 12 second passes. Many BPU RX7's aren't even getting out of the 13's.

Sure, I'd rather drive my FD anyday, but I don't bash Hondas, cause I know what the **** they are capable of.

Thanks for giving some props, Dragon. It sucks that ricers have ruined the sport of having an Import. It so pisses me off.
Remember that drag racing isn't the be-all and end-all of the sport. I prefer road racing, and would put my FD up against any streetable Honda out there .

Oh, and I do daily drive a CRX Si, just so you know I'm not totally biased .
Oh, I agree. I HATE drag racing. It is just for dick swinging.. But, I had a turbo GSR, and wanted to see what it had. I did have a nice suspension (GC Coilovers, tokico 5 way adj., upper rear tie, lower rear tie, upper front strut, urethane bushings all around incl. motor mounts.. ) but I'll still bet a stock FD would eat it alive in the turns...

I just wanted to agree that SOME people put the FD above all, and think they will never lose. I would have beat an FD in the 1/4 in the GSR, not a modded FD though... and not in the turns... But I think a lot of people think 1/4 mile at a time.

And Lots of the people that say.."well, my FD will eat you in the twisties..." Probably wouldn't know how to pull thru a slide, or even correctly enter a turn...

I LOVE my FD more than anything... If it had a *****, I'd marry it... But it is not the al mighty car of the world.

Oh, and .... cough.... Sir, Your car is beautiful! You've done great work with great taste! I have all your pics put together as my screensaver.

After one pass down "the strip", I decided there were to many ricer-mobiles and retards zooming around.

Anyone else find this funny?

OK let's get back to the topic here.

Some facts... Ignoring some factors like transmission gearing and aerodynamics...

FD with some "bolt ons" : say... 325 engine HP/2850 lbs = 8.8 pounds/HP

1988 CRX HF with engine swap : ??? engine HP/1850 lbs

My point is that this type of thing is possible... Just because the guy drives an ugly *** CRX (go to his website!) doesn't mean he didn't make a fun sleeper.

Having said all that though, I'd love to know two things:

1) where is his dyno?

2) where is the RX-7 dyno? It becomes much less impressive if the guy didn't really have anything but a cat back and had a 10-8-0 boost pattern!

We probably won't get either dyno... so don't worry about it. Just go out and smoke some CRXes wherever you live...

there are a couple of fast honda's in the bay area but nothing faster than high 11's, and that's on the track. I raced a "12.4" sec integra and left him in the dust (i even spun the rear tires on the launch). after the race he didn't even come back, he just kept on goin.

all i had at the time was DP/MP, Racing Beat dual tip exh, SAFC, and Intake.

everyone badmouthing hondas needs a good old fashioned *** kicking... while alot of people who drive hondas are just stupid people with alot of money, there are some people who buy hondas to get serious performance, if u go to a drag strip with real racers not 15 year old kids with who bought the car with daddies money, u will see some DAAAMMMNNN fast hondas, the civic is hands down the most customizable car on earth so obviously honda did something right.
