Yeah...I was thinking the same thing. Boost just doesn't make any car fast. It prolly had alot more then a turbo.

Her car was modded to hell (I HOPE) and the Cobra was TOTALY stock. She was boostin pretty high from what I could make out. The BOV was dumping some serious ****. It sounded mean as **** and really deep. And it was an Accord not a Civic.

Had to have been modded alot! If it was a 4door then their was more wait to carry. But I cant imagine a turbo alone can push a honda faster then a stock cobra.

Comon Joe, you can't just drop a turbo into any engine without at least some minor mods to the internals. All I know is that I got my *** handed to me by an OLDER LADY in a "Fear This" Accord.

Okay.....do me a huge favor. Don't race the car when you first get it!! I only raced it Once and I was scared to hell. Thought it was cool since I beat a new 350z but still. Get to know the car really well. Theirs a curse for beginner drivers with those things. I have driven my share of sports cars but the 7 is in its own class.

Hold on, VTEC with turbo, only 127hp? What, kind of turbo is hooked onto that manifold, one of those little party whistles? btw, there isnt a VTEC under 125 (except for the VTEC-E found in the Civic HX), so a 2hp gain is laughable

We arent talking about a Civic. This is an Accord. I don't know what breed of accord, but if it has two pipes it's a V6 Accord. Possibly the SOHC VTEC model found in in the 98-02s. That alone churns out 200 horsepower. Add good turbo kit, internals, FMIC..etc you'll be around 250-300hp. The non VTEC is good for 170, i'd imagine 240-275hp from turbocharging it. Obviously it's a very good built turbo pushing a lot of boost to kill a Cobra mustang, with 300 torque. And from the story she revved it to redline, so she's using vtec. She couldint have had anything else making her go fast..

I mean, im not a Honda guy, but if you're gonna dispute something, read up on it.

For those who don't know what VTEC is it's a VVT system Varible Valve Timing system. It's a sleeping camshaft activated at high revs. Making more power as you move up in revs, it makes the I4 a very effective powerplant.

This was exactly my point, thanks for putting that out there. The thing is that my Uncle has a 99 LX and that's the 4 banger. It's pretty swift (Compared to the Tempo), but I wasn't certain that the dual fart cans would be mated to the V6. The V6 is pretty nice and can put out some nice numbers, so what I'm thinking is that it was the V6 and modded internals. One can get way more than 300 out of a V6 T engine. I don't wanna sound NUTS, but I've heard and driven cars way more powerfull than 400 to the ground, and this one looked to be right up there. Deep growl and a mean BOV, plus the spooling was mad quick, the Turbo was substantialy quiet (The Cobra under WOT is NOT a quiet car) since I made it out to be charged when I heard the BOV. The thing about the cans is this, we all know ricers to pass a pipe and make a straight single exit into a dual FAKE setup. Hell, all it takes is a pipe and a TIG welder. This was the real thing, but sure as hell didn't look like much.

First of all, it's not a huge favor at all. And secondly, I have a few test drives under my belt so I know to take it easy. Thanks for the looking out bro.
