Was doing some last minute Christmas shopping today and then was in a rush to hit the gym before dinner with the family. Knowing that it was supposed to snow late tonight and tomorrow, I decided to take the fd out while it was nice. I went to pick up my friend, and headed towards the gym. On the way there he points to somthing white, wide, and low a few cars ahead. I took a good luck and instantly knew it was a Lamborghini Diablo. My heart was pounding. Its rare enough to see these on the road, and when I do I NEVER am driving my rx-7. The Diablo signaled at my exit. I got a look at the side and it said "SV" in big black script. Yes, I knew this was going to be good. I followed, getting stuck behind a slow Corolla on the ramp. As soon as I had a room I manuvered around the put put Toyota and went in pursuit of the bull. I got along side him and paced him. I was in the left lane and he was in the middle. Traffic cleared a bit. I downshifted to 2nd, 7000 rpm. Too fast for this gear. I click it into 3rd. I hear him downshift and his revs climb. I knew he was gonna go so I waited. He got the jump on me, and got 1/2 a carlength as I spooled. Boost came on quick and I reeled him in. My friend was goin nuts! Hit redline in 3rd quick, banged it into 4th. I'm pulling. I'm a car ahead. He had to move into the right lane to avoid a car. Then we shut down. I cuised for a bit with a huge smile on my face. He paced me, staying at my rear 1/4. Was probably embarrassed that his $200,000+ machine got spaked by a Mazda. At the next light he eventually pulled up. Not too old of a guy, maybe 40. I gave him thumbs up and he waved. Seamed pretty cool. I was hoping to go again but there was too much traffic. I got off at the next exit, pulled a u-turn, and went to the gym. Merry Christmas to me

BTW, I was running 15 psi maxing out my 1600cc injectors. My friend put on his wide band the other night and under boost I hit and hold 10.0, the lowest the wideband reads. Can't wait to tune again Friday.

im jealous man......i once killed a riced out civic with type r stickers in my buick century...the poor ricer look horrified that even with his massive spoiler and type r stickers that add like 70hp he lost to a family sedan,that had to suck

I'm sure that loss was a terrible blow to his ego. He probably was deeply saddened until he got home and his 3 18y/o girlfriends comforted him. :smirk:

But you gotta remember those cars are geared fo 200mph+, not the Q-mile. I wonder what they would run if they changed the gears around. Even so they still run 12s.

nice kill... raced a ferrari f50 in a ford lightning and got my *** handed to me... but it was fun either way, he was signalling what gear he was in and when the truck topped out he was only in 4th gear... truck top speed is like 260 km
