My son jeremy usually drives like an insane speed maniac when he's in an rx-7 but this time I freaked him out.

I was running my '90 turbo street car at road america in elkart lake when I passed a newer corvette going up the hill out of turn five, turn six at the top of the hill is a blind corner and when I went for the brakes they were soft from fade so I cut in across the grass and reentered the track at a point past the corner. I was in a group of street cars running on the track for the price of a donation of $50. We were not supposed to be racing, but every one was going as fast as they could. After overheating the brakes I decided to slow down a bit for the last laps. Last fall I got to race there for real in my '79 ITA racecar and god that track takes ***** to run. Started 27th, ended up 11th but most gains were from other racers either blowing up or going off track and or hitting a wall or tire pile. 20 laps of WOW!
