My brother's been talkin' all kinds of **** about how his automatic FC was gonna destroy my SA22C once he turned 16 and got his license. So that happened last week and on the way to Safeway he passed me and gave me the lights. What a surprise. After we bought our stuff, I told him to race me from a 25-mph start on the highway. Now it had been raining a lot and my clutch is going bad, so I was getting a little worried. Especially when he caught me off guard and floored it withou telling me! Luckily I had a few car lengths on him after 15 seonds. Today he started bitching about how he needs to do it when it's dry and not at night and **** like that... I know he can't touch me; at least while my clutch holds out!



How much does it cost to replace the clutch? I can floor it in third and gain revs but no speed, and I know it's not catching. VictoriaBritish sells a 3-piece clutch kit for $150, would my dad and I be able to do it ourselves? He thinks we can.

I know you need a special tool to get the pilot bearing out...other than that I don't know. It's been my experience that everything on the 1st gens is ridiculously easy to work on, so I wouldn't sweat it.
