Had a Audi TT try to have ago at me today. Was going along the motorway traveling at 80km which is the speed limit along this particular stretch of road, when the TT had just turned on from an on ramp buot a 100m ahead. I slowly made my way up to where he was, at this stage I don't think he had seen me. But before I had gotten to him he was weaving in an out of traffic trying to get to lanes where there was no traffic.

He pulled into a lane an got stuck behind a van, this was just as I caught up an passed him (still doing 80km). Immediately as I passed he shot in behind me and stayed there till we got to a break in the traffic which gave us a clear run from the outside lane which we were in, to the far inside lane (4 lanes over). We both raced over to the far lane, I slowed down (to 100km) giving him a chance to over take, he indicated and pulled up along side and put his foot down to pull ahead.

But of course there was no way i was gonna let that happen was there, so I changed into 3rd and put my foot down pulled along side for about 3 or 4 seconds and then watched the car lengths increase as I redlined it through 3rd and 4th and then into 5th doing about 170km.

The guy must've been in his 40s or 50s, driving a late model Audi (could tell by the plates) that he probably just forked $60k over for and he thought he could take on a 24 year old in a RX7 which he probably thinks is a piece of crap. It makes me wonder if they even know whats under the hood. Had a good laugh.

Two thumbs up!

When they first came out in the US those owners thought theirs was the fastest thing on the road. While it is a beautiful work of modernism in automotive sculpture, the engine/performance is not there. Every one I've raced has gone down in flames!

I was in my 1996 Type RS. No mods except for the straight through 3" exhaust, cat converters not required by law here in NZ.

Was thinking bout doing mods when I bought this car, but when I came across my 2002 decided to concentrate modding efforts on that. Looking forward to some major kills once Ive finished putting the T78 in.

Cant wait

tt's have gotta be one of my favourite kills.

Nearly all seem to be driven by middle aged people who "think" they have a sportscar. Soon show them wot a nissan suny can do

Sounds like a you spanked that TT guy good.

There are quite a few of those TTs around here in Scottsdale, AZ. A few of the guys have modified them out too. They are fine looking cars and probably a blast to drive. It's nice to know that our 10+ year old cars are still thrashing the new stuff.

Hi Amp,

The wheels are hanging in there great. No fender rub yet.
