A stock FD will take an SRT-4, I drive them everyday (SRT-4's). I never had a good race in an SRT-4 against something quick, but I killed a riced out Corrola easily LOL. Please don't underestimate these cars, be smart and always give people the benefit of the doubt. These cars are quick, not the prettiest around, but quick nontheless. With a little more boost and a good driver, they can hang with almost anything from Japan, comperebly tuned of course.

i think stock for stock it would come down to the driver...they also got 15 more hp in 2004 along with the better diff...so it would have to come down to the driver

With both cars in like new, stock condition, new stock size tires, equal drivers and same intake temperature the FD would win without question from any speed.

I don't doubt the RX7 would win in the higher speeds but these SRT owners believe that they could completely smoke the RX7 so I've been looking for some real life experiences.

the srt-4 is a good car but many races are decided by driver. Not only that but you can't do much to the srt-4 to make more power. read the modified article on it..they break the engine down. and talk about its sensors. they have a few new ones that won't let you mod it for more boost. the good thing is that it will make the advertised hp at any altitude and make computer adjustments quickly due to its new c.a.s.. they also got rid of the old style of having the computer index a sorted map for diffrent temps and altitudes etc.. the computer makes constant calculations. anyway read the article it was in august or sept. issue. good car but crap if you want to mod yourself. FD would stomp it but be a close 1/4 race with good drivers.
