Well these kids rolled up while we were sitting outside my friends house and started talking ****. So I jump in my car with my friend and chase them down and follow them for awhile. Finally we come to a light and ask them why they were talking **** and all that. So we end up racing. The light turns green and my damn reactions are too slow but I finally notice the green. He already revved his car up to about 5-6000 then dropped it. Once I heard him peeling out, I ease off the clutch at about 3500 and at the end of my 1st gear, he is already about 2 car lengths behind me. It's pretty much over from there. He doesn't catch up until I decide to pull over and he races by me like a dumbass thinking he still would've beat me. That's pretty much it. But my point is I'm tired of all these kids getting cars and thinking they have the fastest things around.



I know he had cams though, and exhaust and intake, but I think that's all. Well earlier today, When I got my car to a steady idle at about 1500 rpm, my mechanic and I realized that my Jspec was streetported. I never noticed before because my car would not idle. But seriously, I don't feel my car is that much faster than a 87 TII w/ intake,exhaust,dp,electric fan, and underdrive pulleys. What do you guys think?

you should feel a nice difference compared to a non ported engine. maybe it needs some more tuning? have you checked the compression? maybe you are fast as ****, but u just used to the car...lol

Well I need the american spec cooling block on the motor because the jspec is missing a temp plug. So my car is running really rich. Which is also why it idles at 1500. What surprised me the most was that I was still pulling really hard at about 7800 rpm. I didn't mean to rev it that high, but I couldn't hear the redline beep...
