I think i can burn him. he has a 91 240sx 155hp stock except cat back muffler shop exhaust and stock muffler.



I have an S4 with 10mm magnecor wores, NGK plugs, Greddy airinx intake, and 2.25" straight piping single setup with canister muffler (soon to be welden on and installed) and port matched stock exhaust manifold.

i raced a few in when i had my 88 GXL. I would take them, but i have RB headers, full exhaust, electric fan, intake, and my engine was really strong.



It should be a close race as long as your car is running good, and you drive it well...

If only i had my rx-7 still in my possesion and in running shape i would video tape a race of a 88 GTU vs an 89 240sx. but since my rx-7 was towed away and i can't tell you but what i can tell you is that i'v driven both cars and i can honestly say that the 240 has more power than the rx-7. if u can make it a race where u finish at the end of 2nd gear you will most likely take him. cause thats the one advantage i had & that was that i was able to beat any car off the line thanks to the lsd and the 4:3? final gear ratio........ but then again my car was blowin smoke like a rain in a volcano after 4,000 rpm which prolly ment that my water seals were almost gone so i prolly didnt have good compression

oh yeah i can take 89-90 240s easy, I had one before my RX-7 FC and i know this FC is soooooo much quicker. the twin cams though...

yea i tried this dude who had a 240sx body with a ka28de(s14 n/a engine) 300zx fuel pump, 300zx o2 sensor(if that does anything), apexi n1, header, and khumo's. i stuck with him pretty good but the only way i knew to go was when i heard his tires squeal so he got a lead on me in the beginning. i had mad wheel spin, a clutch that was on its way out, had trouble shifting into 2nd and 3rd. so if i had a better clutch and better tires i would have taken him. he also went to races constantly so he had way more experience. i didnt want to give these excuses and make it sound like i was whining or anything but before hand i told him i had a bad clutch.
