Do you want to know why Mustangs are so wishy washy with their times?? It's because of their build quality. It seems to me that no two stangs come from the factory alike. I've tried to like cobras- hell they sound nice- but the way they are built is . One of my best friends has the "almighty" cobra- the first time he raced my he was beaten badly, the second time he raced me- he broke the rear end.

congrats on your kill- -keep it up.

oh yeah- I get 13 miles a gallon You make alot of power, you use alot of fuel

Well, that's alot of quoting 2 respond 2 all of those posts, so I'll just point out a few things. Whoever calls me a "mustang man" is wrong. I own a 70 Mach 1 with a 428CJ, but ony because it was always my dream car. Never said I was a "mustang man". And duh, a McLaren F1 would tear anything up (231 TS to be exact). $1,000,000 just might get U 1. I just mentioned the Z06 because he said he was racing one. Oh, and I haven't found an FD for 10k or less. I've been lookin' and can't find one. So why do I post here...well duh, I have a 7. My FC NA gets around 10 mpg's and the power sucks. My big block gets better gas mileage! And yes, for a daily driver it does matter.

While I'm on U rotor freaks good side...LOL...I figured I'd ask a question. Why was the RX-7 discontinued? I've seen the new RX-8's and they weren't impressive. 4 doors, 14-15 second ET's, no turbos, don't handle as well as FD, etc...So what happened? I like the new 6's, though.

the rx8 is NOT the same as an rx7. Not in the same class, the only reason it has the rx name is because it uses a rotary.

thats horrible you have something wrong with your car.

The fd was discontinued because of sales rates, who in America wants to pay 46k+ for a 2 door coupe that gets like 16-18mpg and bad emissions? when they could have a corvette? most ppl would take the corvette. A lot of sports cars died during the 90's also, the suv craze was going on.

Yea, the FD was no longer sold in America after 1995. However the FD was produced up until last year. The rumor is if the RX-8 is popular than mazda will make a new RX-7 for the 2005 year. I think it will happen, there have been a few concepts shown in magazines. It will more than likely use the Renesis motor with some sort of forced induction, or maybe not.

Check his post again he never said he raced the Z06,. he said he saw one zooming around town.

As for FD's under $10k, you ain't looking very hard i've been an active part in about 5 or 6 cars selling for under $10k with the only thing preventing me from buying them being the fact i couldn't sell my stupid truck in time and can't take out a loan due to family members with bad credit, and I've been stuck with an unsellable vehicle once before.

RX8's, simply put, is a 4-seater family sportscar. Wait until the 2-seater (yet to be named but it might be called the RX7 again) comes out with the N/A 280hp engine, if not a turbo version, with weight cut down massively and torque and speed up-ped dramatically.
