Getting a skyline in the us for cheep isn't going to happen but you can pick one up in jpn pretty cheap.. I got my gtr for 3k tuned...so lucky...hahah motorex will legalize one you find there but you pay shipping and the fee to legalize it around 15k. thats a lot of cash...now the gt-s has the rb25det...the gtr has the rb26dett the 26 is 2.6L now you can get a rb30 or 28 they are stroker kits by JUN and SIGNAL AUTO very expensive.. or I know of a R-33 v-spec for sale around 25k...already tuned..something like 400+ to the wheels. and a very sexy purple with bbs wheels... and the people who think the skyline is junk well just drive one..and you will see.

The GT-R is just that. It's a GT car. Grand Touring (in English at least) with a little something extra. They put comfort over sportiness. I've never been in a R34, but I can't even remember how many R30's, R31's, R32's, and R33's I've been in. From bone stock to highly modded. They are big, comfortable family cars at heart. The newer the model the cushier they got.
Here's one you guys in Japan will know about. Last Columbus day when I was on Oki I was riding in Doug's R33 GT-R (I got dumped on him because some "friend" of mine with a certain white 180SX kicked me out the car for some ho he was trying to score with but's that's another rant for another time). Going down south on 58 at Mizugama Igy pulled up besides us. Both of them went for it. Igy left us like we were standing still. Doug stopped after a second because there was no point after that. From what I'm told, this GT-R has somewhere around 500hp to 550hp. I don't know how valid that claim is, but even if it's true then that car is still carrying around a lot of weight. It might not have been as fast, but it was quieter (all cars are quieter than Igy's ), had a good ride (it has Aragosta shakocho IIRC), good stereo, and strong A/C. It's a great car to impress chicks with. This car has a high panty dropping quotient. Piece of junk? I wouldn't say so. But it's not the best car for messing around on the streets with. But's it's no slouch either compared to a lot of other cars. They just take a lot more money to get the same results.
