Was shampooing my interior today when the thought occured to me.

Do you think my interior will shrink in the washing machine.

I thought about taking the whole interior carpeting out and sticking it into my laundry machine in gentle cycle cold water with a scoop of tide.

That should make it clean, but will it shrink on me?

Just lay it in the driveway, soak it down... Throw some soap on it and scrub away with a brush... Rinse thouroughly and you should be good to go. Leave it dry in the sun. I did this on at least 5 cars with no ill effects.

As long as you don't wash it with any whites you should be fine.

assuming you're not joking, couldn't that mess up the stuff underneath that keeps its molded shape? (plastic, foam, I'm not sure)
