there are a lot of black interior'd red fd's, but your'e right about the montego blue.... most have tan interior. and you're also right about white, cym, and ibm....... you MUST have black interior

Fikse. I am talking about the tan interior that came with the red exterior off the factory line? Were they not tan interior with red paint job?



IBM will always look ******* sweet. I am seeing more of the IBM look on other types of cars. Dodges, Chrysler. I am sure they don't call it IBM, but looks sweet.



I am also seeing more RX-8's on the road. I see at least 3-5 a day now. And I saw an old Datsun 240z? Love the retro look.

 

The color should depend on what you want to do.



If you want showy and flashy, get something bright, like Spa Yellow Pearl on the S2K or pink. CYM looks kind of dull compared to any of the Honda Yellow's. Or you could get real flashy and get the NSX Orange or Z33 Orange. Hell, even the xB Orange looks nice.



If you something more subtler, I would suggest the Titanium Gray on the RX8 or one of the darker metallic grays from Porsche. The special color for the '01 FD Spirit R would also be a nice subtle color. Or good ole' IBM.



Also, tan interior suck in general. Switch it out for black if you don't already have black. Or, you could just gut it out.



I personally would paint my car Yashio Factory pink, if I was running at least 400hp. That color just says, "I'm so bad-*** that I can drive a pink sports car." Also, there's nothing better than hearing, "I got beat by a pink car."

 

the current import tuner has a feature on a pink FD or FC, cant remember.

i have a black interior on my vr fd. i am looking at different color options myself, if you dont care about money, the check out house of kolor's colors, they have very nice ones.

 

I have seen a CYM in person. It looks rather nice, and is quite fitting for the FD. However, I've seen some of the factory Honda yellow and they appear, to me at least, to be bolder more full of color. Maybe the CYM I saw just had dull paint, but it still looked rather delicious. Another shade of nice yellow is on the Corvette's. Very nice!
