veilside fortune rx7

does anyone know how durable the fiberglass is on that kit or veilside kits in general I'm planning on buying it if it is durable enough. I don't want a show car that I can't ever drive. I don't want a garage ornament

I don't know about that specific kit, but fiberglass is fairly durable. The MAJOR downside is that it is rigid and does NOT give like your stock urethane bumper is. Meaning if you hit it on something solid it will crack instead of flexing. It will be fine if you pay attention to your driving and are careful though.

that would be 11k for the kit
at LEAST 6k for the wheels
and probably around 10k for labor to install everything plus $ insurance costs for raised extra insurance cuz if you're crazy enough to drive around with a 15k body kit with no insurance you deserve to get hit.
plan on spending AT LEAST 25k buying this kit /w rims and having them installed
and PRAY nobody hits your car cuz if they do, there goes your 15k body kit.
you could buy TWO fd's for that much!
if you really wanted an exotic looking car look into kit car magazine cuz you can build something way more exotic loooking and performing if you wanted to for similar $.

I could swear Veilside won't ship that kit. In order to have it installed the car must be in their hands.
I read that when the latest installment of the Fast and ******* Retarded came out. Maybe it was just some hollywood hype, I dunno

I talked to the guy that owns Iforged today and he has the kit on his car and he said that it would work if I drove gently and never got on the throttle but... Thats not me, and it really wouldn't justify getting the 20b swap either (in progress). so I talked to a buddy of mine that is an professional sheetmetal fabricator and he said that If I'm willing to spend the money to buy the kit he would copy the quarter panels, side skirts and fenders in sheet metal possibly the front bumper and rear bumber too. so that might be an option so that i can still have the look while still enjoying the car for what it is meant for.

oh also the fortuene kit can just be shipped to you. the car doesn't have to be shipped to them. I think that veilside use to do that though because I have heard that too. or was it AB flug? i can't remember one of the two though I think.

Yeah maybe it was ABflug. I just remember reading that somewhere about some of those crazy *** body kits. Coulda swore it was Veilside though, maybe it was their Fortune Supra kit.
