Your oil leak is your O-rings under the oil filter. As for the security system, lock the doors from the inside, if you dont hear a beep-your switches for the doors might be stuck- take your finger and runt hat small black rubber booty thing at the bottom of the door jam in and out until you hear the beep. A good way to know if those switches are working or not is simple- if the lights come on when you open the doors, they are working, but they still get 'stuck'- so play with those with the doors locked and see what happens.

The o-rings are cheap, a few dollars, if you have a 10mm K.D GearWrench, or know someone who has a nice tiny 10mm wrench- the job is a snap, if you dont have the tool- it can take a while to get the 2 10mm nuts off under the cooler.

Stupid question, but after the thing beeped, you did lift the handle when you closed the door right? If it beeper, then its good, you could try cleaning it, I never bothered to.
