They have gone beyond the clearcoat.

Try a autobody or detail shop, even a car wash,

to see if they can give the area a quick buff, but

honestly when you trade a car in something like that

wont really take away from what they will pay you

compared to what it will take to fix, especially

when the sale of a new car is involved, or were you

talking about trading it in on lease?

We have no idea how those scratches got on there. It could possibly be from metal-tipped cleats (my bro plays soccer and sometimes my mom would carry more than one kid on the team).



It's more that she's mad about how it looks than the effect on the trade-in value, you know? I think that it would also be useful to me just to know how to get simple scratches out. I figured if any, maybe the scratches on the bumper could be buffed out somehow. I don't know. (Pic #7).

Some of the scratches do look as if a high speed buffer will take them out. Unless you have the tools then it wiil cost $$ to go buy the buffer and supplies

like it was said already, different compounds and glazes, best

applied by machine, by the time you buy everything you could

probably pay someone to do it, its something thats best shown in

person and not described over the internet on how to do it.

Use rubbing technique to get rid of these scratches. Also if there is small dings then use paintless dent removal technique. I also recommended a good auto body shop for you car.
