I figure with all of the geniuses on this board, someone can give me some good advice as to removing paint scratches.

My mom is going to trade in her Durango soon and she's got some scratches on the trim of the passenger doors and wheel wells. The trim is some sort of plastic or something.

Anywho, what's the best way to take care of these so it looks nice and shiny?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

We use this glue remover called Acrosol or somethin and it actually removes small scratches.

Are they acctual in the clear coat deep scratches or just light swirls?

If it is just swirl marks or light scatches then you can use a compound. A high speed buffer is in order also to get into the clear coat to remove them, hand strength wont be enough. Compounds come in different grades like sand paper so depending on the harshness of the scatches will decifer the compound to buy.
