As you guys know on the FD to install the door sills they are attached with screws from the factory. Last weekend I installed my sills but didnt want to be drilling in the body of my car.
Solution....Velcrow!!!! Yup i bought a roll (4ft) of industrial strength velcrow. and slapped it on.
-Give the door AND sills a good cleaning with soap and water, then alcohol to clean all residue.
-Cut to length, keeping both pieces stuck together to creat equal sizes. keep stuck together so when installing they stay aligned up
-Start at one end of the sill and start sticking the velcrow along the bottom pulling nice and tight so there are no wrinkles and such.
-push and rubb so it sticks well
-go to door and find sweet spot and stick away again.
-push down on sills again to make sure there is good contact.
Voila....shes finished!! And now you can remove the sills if need be for cleaning or for what ever reason.
Once done go to home depot and in the fasteners section they have steel caps. grab four of them and use an adhesive to put them over the holes that the sills come with to finish the look off
Just thought I would post this for anyone looking for alternatives
