This car is owned by a friend of mine. I was his "muse' so to speak in picking out body kit parts for his 7. The only thing I did not tell him to get are the REAL RE-amemiya side skirts. Everything is from Chuck at Rotary Extreme. Here's a list:
FEED Type II R (real) front fascia RE Amemiya Side Skirts (real, not sure what model) ONLY set in the US! rear diffuser (Chuck) JSP Blade rear wing in carbon AD9 carbon hood (Chuck) The wheels are Advan 5's. I'll just throw a bunch of pics up. While the side skirts aren't my taste, they're functional and feature a carbon fiber lower section and a channel for air coming off the rear tires. It's pretty cool. |
Very cluttered area so I couldn't get any clean backgrounds...did sort of a quick photoshop job too...

Here's the shop's RX8 w/Chuck's MS front end next to MY 7...notice how small the 7 is in comparison!

What's that you say? A pic of that wicked cool black FD in the background? My only comfort is that the silver may have more bling bling, but I have more go go :-)

Yes, that's a carbon fiber hood. Yes, it looks black from most angles thanks to a neat clearcoat job...but in the right light, you get.....
Carbon! A nice bronzish color to match my rims! Wee! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif PS...that's Chuck's KS style hood. |

Ok, last one of the RX8...waiting on a hood. Not sure what's going to happen with the side skirts, rims, and rear end...already has a carbon GT wing and Chuck's intake (which sounds INCREDIBLE).

Wow, no one interrupted my uploads this time!

those skirts on the silver FD are killer looking.
|
since that silver car already has a lot of chuck's goodies.... i think it needs to add a bumper guard for the exhaust
|
Jason, find out what those side skirts are please. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png
|
The side skirts are from RE Amemiya, his latest kit (wild looking green car at Tokyo Auto Salon) and they weren't cheap by any stretch of the imagination.
|
very nice undeed

Thanks. Now I have a boner.
|

It seems like everyone hates any sort of a GT wing...are there ANY GT wings out there that would be acceptable? I'm ordering the rear diffuser from Chuck and have purposely kept my car wingless. It's actually more aerodynamically efficient to manipulate air under the car as opposed to above with big rear wings, but they do work. Thing is, once you have the nose, side skirts and the rear diffuser, anything OTHER than a GT wing is just wimpy looking...I love the FEED wing, but I'm not so sure it's agressive enough with everything else on the car. What do you guys think? I like the JSP Blade wing on the silver car. Very mean looking in person. Maybe if I put a wing on the car, every dumb ass in an Acura/Honda would stop wanting to race https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683473.gif

I like Michel's car better
|
I just ordered the JSP 56'' wide by 5'' high CF blade and it looks very small compared to the JSP on the silver car which is 59'' by 10''. I think it is a nice low profile compared to the 10'' high wing.
The cars both look great by the way. |
Post some pics when you get it on...I was thinking the same thing. The smaller version with the 5" or 7" stanchions. They advertised the 7" originally but now I believe they only make the 5" or the 10" The only other wing I really like is the "semi"-GT style from Knightsports, the Type V. I "believe" you can get two different side planes for that wing. In the pic, if you look closely, the right vertical plane is different from the left which I don't care for.

Yeah, that's what he has on there, S03's. I run Kumho's which are doing very well suprisingly at my power level. I run 265's all around however, so I have a bit more balance than the silver car's setup which has a staggered fitment. I think the fronts are 245's.
|
so is the silver car up and running now michel? that was his t78 that was all apart at the shop right?........ man, i wish i could hurry up and get a paint job.... rims... and the rest of the stuff to make my car run right........

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I've wanted those side skirts for so long on my car. I need to go stab some people. It looks so beautiful. Thats what I wanted my car to look like minus the FEED front, and Advan model 5 wheels.
|
i love wingless fd's. they keep the car flowing which i like. some look ok with gt wings but i dont like when they are so high. both cars are amazing and so are those side skirts. i like the black one brtter though.
|
The more I see Rx8's the more I want one. I like the Rx7 side skirts
