BTW, what kind of brakes are on this car?
|
That's my car :-) Those are the N-Tech Engineering 4-piston AP brake kit. www.ntechengineering.com They also have an exclusive four wheel Brembo kit that is the end all be all of brake kits. The AP's work very well. I run Porterfield R4S pads on the street. Any of the N-Tech pads, Porterfields or Pagids work very well. I also have the 929 master cylinder but it's not really necessary.
I should have the RE rear diffuser pro on the car in about a month. We'll see how the car looks with it sans wing. notice in those pics you posted, the hood is much more gray than black like it is now. They sprayed black into the clear so that at most angles it now looks black. walk up to the car however, and it turns into carbon fiber. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif |
Good idea on the hood Michel.

After looking at the first Rx7 on this post, I just noticed that those tyres are the same as Jen Rx7.

My rear diffuser from Chuck should be here in a week or so. I'll have pics up as soon as I get it on. People who see my car in person say I need a wing or "something" on the back. Being a photographer, I tend to photograph the car from it's "best" angle which isn't directly from the side or rear. I may just get the FEED wing and be done with it. We'll see how the diffuser looks first.

michel i think your car looks great without the wing.

carbon fiber 15th anniversary wing that i was talkin about that might look good on the black car instead of a bench |
I've seen the Veilside wing in person and I used to be a fan but it no longer floats my boat. It's a board/bench. Flat. I like the JSP much better and the quality of the carbon fiber is better too. Thought about the MSpeed 15th anniversary..saw a bunch of people selling them for under $200. We'll see...need to replace my turbo first :-)

imo they look better in person than in picture, i saw one on a black fd that i test drove...... it was painted black though... not carbon fiber

Michel I love every pic I see of your car...wingless!! Keep it sexy like the SL55 AMG! I have a silver stock looking FD, but your car is one of the classiest (if that's a word) externally modified FD's out there! If that makes any sense...any you've got (think still working on) one hell of a set up under the hood!

LOL, thanks DUB! My Rear Diffuser Pro arrived from Rotary Extreme yesterday (in one piece, thanks Chuck!) and I managed to massage it on today. I say massage because I have the fattest exhaust out there a GReddy Power Extreme. Muffler canister required that I do a bit of cutting. Needless to say, I will probably replace the exhaust with either the GReddy Ti or Magnaflow Ti exhaust some time soon.
It's dark at the moment but I'll try and get pics up tomorrow. Looks good, not sure if I can keep her wingless though...thinking the FEED wing at the moment. |
i have good pics of the feed wing if you need to see :_

FEED Type II Wing follows the smoothness...and would look nice with that hood. Wonder if you can work that CF magic on the wing?? (.Y.)
