That's really not very helpful anyway.. Mark is right in that the license plate is a great target, but it's the overall 'radar profile' of the vehicle that makes the difference. The laser does not need a 100% return of it's signal to measure the speed. If that were true, each car would be clocked from straight on (no elevation or offset angles) on a flat surface. Besides, I've been laser clocked with NO front plate. The truth is, your car has a certain radar profile that will provide a measurable reflection of any directed waves. The only way to have an unmeasureable profile would be to have a car that was as flat as paper, with no height.



let's not get confused here, stealth technology is not yet availble in cars, plastic lenses don't stop laser, (or photo radar in many cases), and the best way to avoid getting caught speeding is to get a reliable detector and use your eyes.

oh yeah....... and dont speed too....... kinda hard to do when you drive an fd though

I haven't seen that vid.. that really sucks he got pulled though..

So.. these V1's are suppose to be the best, right?

anyone know about those detectors that looks for the frequency of the highway patrol's cb radio?



what brand is that? and can it be used with a V1

I have a K40 in my car.. i dunno if it works as well as it's a mental check of not to do anything stupid when the lights are on it or its beeping

I have an Escort radar/laser detector, works great, even around sweeping corners. As long as YOU do YOUR job.
