Martin(fikse that's not me) got his two days ago..... now we just gotta put it in his car

 

Houston, we have a problem! Well went outside in the 25 degree, wind-chilled weather today to install my new quick release. On my way to my baby, I didn't even realise it was so cold out because of the "magic heating properties" the quick release possessed. Well there I am, allen wrench in hand, with a smile bigger than a 60 year old hooker watching horny soldiers getting off tha boat from Iraq. I placed the base into the steering collar and....BANG! The base crashed into the locking nut! DAMN! It's still OK because I did want to add a spacer to bring the steering wheel closer. I'm looking to get a spacer next week. I'm heading home for that turkey tomorrow. Just want all to know before you decide to purchase.

so what exactly happen?

 

The way the disconnect hub is set up there is a base that is a few inches deep. This base houses the horn attachment which looks like a spring-loaded nail in the middle of a long nut (@ least 2 inches long). This "nail" for lack of a better word is encapsulated / suspended in plastic. The bottom of this base hits the steering wheel shaft nut that connects my MOMO adapter to the shaft.
