Personally, I like black. But if you're looking to keep things kinda original, stay with the sunset red.. that's just me though..

Don't forget if you change to color the cost of the paint job will go way up. Things like door jams, trunk and the engine bay have to be totally resprayed. If you stick with a similar color they can usually get away with only painting part of the above mentioned parts. If you went from red to black every inch of the body would need painting. To do a red to black correctly you would need to remove the engine and completely strip the interior. It's your car so pick a color you like, just realize it may cost more. Not worth spending the money to repaint it red if you don't like red in the first place.

maybe you are thinking of innocent blue mica? (IBM)??

I dont really see a need to strip the whole interior, not like someone is going to peek under the carpet to see the original color. A color change paint job can run some serious dollars if you can even find a shop to do it anymore.

well, i guess i'm not be too serious about this paint job because i do plan waaaaaaaaaay down the road to get a engine transplant and when that happens i'm gonna want to repaint the engine bay (possibly rest of car). but the car just looks shitty the way it is and what is $280 for a macco job...right?

For the 280 job at GAYco you could spray-paint it yourself. Save your money, get her in fine running order, THEN think about paint!
