Where is a good place to tap into the interior lights for a set of a piller gauges

Tap into the ashtray light in the center console.

the fuse box above the dead pedal is a good place to get switched power. ground you can get anywhere. for the gauge lights use the white wire from the ashtray light. this will give you on-off for the gauge lights but the dimmer will have no effect. DO NOT use the black wire from the ashtray as that is a PWM signal for dimming the lights. the only exception to this is if your gauge has a seperate ground for lighting and power.
