Door Speakers Shot? - Tight Budget?
I found a cheap speaker box at Wal-Mart $14.87. Pep Boys has the same thing.
It had 2 tweeters & 2 6-1/2" bass speakers.
They work very nicely with the stock factory bass amp. (The one under the glove box that drives the door woofers)
I removed the speakers from the box, cut a ring out of the box material to make an adapter, cut the connector off the old speakers & soldered it on the replacements.
OK - It's not 1KW 12's, but it sounds better than the origonal stereo, and you can't beat the price.
