Door Speakers Shot? - Tight Budget?

I found a cheap speaker box at Wal-Mart $14.87. Pep Boys has the same thing.

It had 2 tweeters & 2 6-1/2" bass speakers.

They work very nicely with the stock factory bass amp. (The one under the glove box that drives the door woofers)



I removed the speakers from the box, cut a ring out of the box material to make an adapter, cut the connector off the old speakers & soldered it on the replacements.



OK - It's not 1KW 12's, but it sounds better than the origonal stereo, and you can't beat the price.

im gonna have to try that, one of my door speaks is busted. what kind of fabrication is required?

why dont you look here. www.soundcity.com they have some great deals on speakers. name brand stuff. you might like it.

what size are the fc door speaks anyways? i went to walmart last night and looked for these but couldnt find them, i did find some 6.5 in speakers though, would those fit?
