You can do it man! It is time consuming though, and be very carefull with the vin# that's by the window. Let someone help you too like cymfc3s said. It's also a mission putting it back. What spray are you using? The Vinyl black paint from Discount auto parts or Autozone?

Take your time- those plastic pieces get brittle with age. I wouldn't

think it's a good idea to paint, but if you want to - Good Luck.

What if u were to rip of all the vinyl, give it a nice coat of fiberglass,

and paint over it . you can have a nice glossy finish, you could even

paint the same colour as the car.

If I were you I would take out the entire heating system at the same time,

just rip it off, gonna save you weight and ****. Just replace the empty

slot with a lcd screen and ur flyn.

taking the dash out isn't that bad, of course I have a rag top so it makes it that much easier, as well as having the windshield out. Gray and or black seem the same, if it has faded I see the means, but the labor involved to do so could be a big ol bite to swallow. If the dash has been armour-alled the adhesion problems you'll run into will more than make you want to bang your head on an inanimate objet repeatedly.

It struck me funny to see that car gutted out yet the steering wheel still in place. I guess I just must be bored right now. Very quiet day, very few patients today. Must be the war or something.
