From what I hear if it takes longer than 45 minutes to take it out, you shouldn't being working on your car yourself https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

i would leave it grey, but since you asked....
there are 7 bolts holding it in. you need to take off the defroster panel thing, there are 3 bolts up there. on the side where the vents go into the door you need to pull those off. ther are 2 more bolts on each side. on the middle of the dash there are 2 little panels, one on each side of the radio basically. there are 2 more bolts on each side. you need to look at the steering column and find the 2 bolts that hold the steering column to the dash. you should be able to move the dash away and disconnect the 3-4 electrical connectors under there, and the speedo cable. mike |

its really heavy, it helps to have a second person on the other side help out.

I did it myself (well, not all the way out, but enough to change the carpet)
the toughest part for me was finding all the bolts, but other than that, it's just time consuming expect to break of bunch of plactic pieces |
from grey to black isnt worth the time in my opinion

if you are changing the interior over from grey to black, just keep the grey dash, it looks like it belongs, all the dash plastic is black anyhow no matter what the interior color is, so it will blend in good with a black interior.
Plus the black paint may not hold up well on the dash, I dont know where you live, but it will get VERY hot in the sun and you could run into some problems later on. |
