To most of these shops, prepping a car for paint means scrubbing it with some scotchbrite and water. They dont take the time to actually sand them.

DAWN takes grease out of your way! Hows that hood and headlight doors holding up anyhow? DuPont actually reccomended me to use Dawn dishwashing liquid to wash a top for a Jeep, they are made from a weird composite, I had to paint my boss's top black for his Jeep, and I asked them what they would reccomend, and the first step was to wash it in Dawn, they told me to use that brand specific, among other steps of course.

They're doing fine. I just need to wash the car.
I'll do that soon. Right now I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to do about my motor. I can't decide if I should pick up a Cosmo 13B in So. Cal or just have my TII motor shipped here.
