you can make some brackets to mount the plastic by bending some pieces of plastic at a right angle to make a sort of stand off and using good ol cyanoacrylate glue or some abs glue.. or plumbers glue.. then glue the faceplate to the lil brackets and screw them on to the metal frame. lots of different types out there.. just gotta find where to buy it..

 

not to long ago someone on here was saleing stainless steel plates that go there my friend got one and his deck clicked right into it. looks trick too
