Original mazdaspeed gtc is glass unfortunately. They all need a somework, especially if its a low quality replica. I didn't want to deal with the bs so I went with a 99 bumper.

YES.

Yeah ALL KITS are hit and miss I would say. I bought a JUN ORIGINAL hood here in Japan about 3-4 years ago. The guy that had one on his car that I was talking with said it fit perfect, but when I got mine, talk about doing some trimming. NOW, cars get in accidents, there is some play in fenders/headlights and even hoods, but sometimes some trimming is required on ANY Fiberglass part, since of course they used the same mold for my car and my buddies car, but the parts fit totally different.

Granted more REPLICA kits are made to make money not nessary to save money, so materials tend to be cheaper and more brittle or flimsy....

Im happy to say and sad to say my RE-Amemiya N1 02 bumper for sale I have hit a few big dips at hight speed and knocked the **** out of it, with NO CRACKS, and hardly any damage.

Yeah, have the same exact problem with my gtc front. I got it from rx-7store and it looks like the rigt side when you look at it from the front is about an inch from the hood line, but the other side is fine. I'm thinking about just using bondo to fill the gap for now and will buy and authentic one later on.

that sounds like what happened here. it fits great on the sides but there's a good 1" gap between the hood and the bumper line. how do they fix that? i dont want an inch of bondo on the thing and i dont want it to crack all over if i take a rock chip...
you, or a body shop, can heat up the fiberglass so it becomes somewhat flexable again, and do what is needed to "re-mold" it to fit properly. When I got my CF hood, the front right corner was raised up about 1.5 inches. I locked the hood down with the hood pins, put a towel on that corner, put a 50 pound weight on it, let it sit in the sun on a 90 degree day, 4 hours later the hood was perfect.!!!

I got mine from rx7store. How much does it run to take it to a body shop and have them do that?
