has anyone else had the same problems as me with fitting bodykit's? i am in the process of installing the mazdaspeed gtc side skirts and front bumper. the skirts are ok but the bumper fits like ****. it's the third one i've tried and it's the best of the three but it's still gonna need some serious ******* with to get it to fit good.

Just so I know, is the bumper Plastic, Urethane, or Fiberglass?? I know that when I had my Integra, I bought a full JDM Bomex kit which was fiberglass and I figured it would fit like a dream.. HA FUNNY! What a bitch that was wrestling with rigid, fragile fiberglass!

I think its F-Glass

sorry boss i did'nt know.. anyways, it's fiberglass... i couldn't find the urathane mazdaspeed gtc bumper. if anyone knows where to get it please let me know...

GarageBoy 03-27-2004 02:52 PM

Is the original F-Glas or urathane?

If it is made of fiberglass, 99% of the time it will not fit correctly without some work. sometimes the mold is shitty, or sometimes if the parts are not fully dry before they are set off to the side for packaging they can warp, or mis-form a bit.

that sounds like what happened here. it fits great on the sides but there's a good 1" gap between the hood and the bumper line. how do they fix that? i dont want an inch of bondo on the thing and i dont want it to crack all over if i take a rock chip...
