And You Thought Mazda Parts Were Expensive

LOL, funny we're talking about expensive car parts today. I got some extra time in an SRT-4 today and really got to love those race seats and just figured I'd ask the parts guys how much the seats were.
Here's a stunner, they're about $800 EACH.

well the only plus, I guess, is the car did just hit 100,000 miles. So it's good that it lasted that long. It just sucks that I can't get the part till tuesday. My car is still not done, so she has to use the truck for work. I feel like a 15yo kid, calling my friends for rides!~

thats cheap! fa80-57-150-10 gsl-se red leather seat dealer cost was $1550, in 1997!
Alright, but 97 is far from the 80's when those 7's were produced, it would only be expected of Mazda to sell them for high profit since they were made so long ago. But this car is one year old, these seats shouldn't even have any wear on them, not to mention need complete replacement. I just don't understand why prices are soooo high?
BTW, the 800 isn't even for the complete seat. Just the recliner and bottom, rails and misc. parts are extra.
