[quote name='spaceman Spiff' date='Jun 23 2005, 07:18 PM']yea except for the fact that you have no say on what that means, if the supreme court decides that that means that they can take your land then they can take your land, that is their job is to decide on what the constitution reads and how it applies to today. so before you start lecturing me on what the constitutional ammendments mean or should mean just remember that is someone elses job.

ok, let go along with this, even if it is someone elses job to decipher it, are you going to sit there and let them take your house, just because they think the constitution says they can? I don't think so.

Like I said a minute ago. We need to fight this. If you are not willing to fight for your rights and freedom then you have no right to bitch and moan when something gets voted on, or legislated in that you disagree with. It is time for the american people to stand up for themselves and quit tucking our heads and saying "yes sir uncle sam" like a bunch of ******* pussies.

[quote name='venomrx7' date='Jun 23 2005, 08:12 PM']and you think that we should just sit here and take it like a bitch?

**** that. If you want to be nutless and just let them buttfuck you, thats fine with me, but I'm not going to join you. I fight for what is mine. The government was founded BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, and I am going to do everything in my power to get it back to that. Even if I don't succeed, I will be able to say I tried, and didn't ***** out.

Well, for your sake I hope you can put your point across a little more eloquent in the Supreme court, if you refer to yourself as not being a nutless bitch, whom isn't a ***** and won't be buttfucked, the Judge will put you in a position where you might become all of those things. I am not the governmernt, i'm not taking your land, you picked the wrong guy to be mad at. It's an uphill battle, speaking from experience, just letting you know some of what may be in your future...

Heh.... I may not be the brightest flower on the bush, but I know better than to speak like that to anyone who I am looking to change something. I'm just used to talking like that on this forum....

And I'm not mad at you, I just think its wrong not to do anything about this.

This seems too absurd not to be turn over in an appeal.

There are lots of ugly office buildings and semi vacant strip malls around town. Can I bulldoze them to build some nice houses?

hey i am all for voting for something, but when the constitution clearly states in the fifth amendment, nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation. so technically for private government use they dont have to pay you but for public use which would include sales to regular people like you and me they have to provide just compensation which in their mind is fair market value.

It's all about "fair market” value.

My sister-in-law & her husband fought an eminent domain action for 3 years.

Some doctors wanted to build a clinic.

Their attorney fees came to >$100,000.00.

They lost the house, but did get their asking price plus the attorney fees in the settlement.

Public use does NOT mean sales to a business. Public use is tax supported things such as schools, roads, and government offices.

They are getting this land to sell to a company that is going to set up a business for personal gains. that, my friend, is not public use.

Your right to feel the way you do. But you just making noise about it will get you no where. Believe me, I know from experience in my own battles with local government.

They have teams of what I call propagandists that will do nothing but discredit you in any public forum you use. They will search your background and try to exploit it in attempts to deter you. They will make life difficult with stupid things they find in city(town) ordinances and give you violations.

My advice to you is, start small, think domino effect. Elected officials, council men, mayor, governor, all feed off of public approval which equal votes. If you can show the smaller guys they can be voted out, they may listen. Show their phone #s (its public info) and get supporters to call them personally. Councilors may join your cause and appeal to a larger, more influential crowd.

The first domino falls.

Your gonna need stamina, these things go on for years and can wear you out.

Good luck.
