and youre still paying out your *** for the same old car.

kevin.

All the money I have invested in my "same old car" is still far less than this car will cost and as far as I am concerned the cool factor of my my old FC is off the charts compared to any new car especially a Corvette. But thats just me, I am weird like that.

How much do you think that badboy is going to cost considering the Z-06 is 70K? My guess is 100-120K.

jim- I think he meant new vette owners are paying for the same old car.

I think the car will be $85k, once it breaks $100k then it no longer holds that bang for the buck they strive for

I hate to say this but I just pulled my just buit Ito motor (I warped an apex seal on the rear while tuning the break in). Ive been looking really hard at putting the new ZO6 in. With a cam its 600hp on pump gas all day every day and below 6,000 RPM.

I have to stress my motor with boost and c16 to get 560HP out of it. Looking at 15,000. Time to the Harley and the Spec Miata.

Well see.

Heads cam exhaust LS2 will do 500 whp all day long on pump gas, and you could easily do it for under $10k.

No, actually that V8 was built by Mercury Marine in Oklahoma.

The V8s Yamaha touched were the Taurus SHO, Volvo XC90, and S80

Up until a few years ago Yamaha built all of Mercury Marines complex engines, they were building all thier

4 stroke outboard engines until like 5 years ago.

I cant say for sure who had thier hands in that engine, saying Mercury built it might have been good practice because

more people know Mercury uses GM motors.

They did the same thing to the thunderbird, gave the last one to the guy who bought the first one or some ****, then 5 years later the "t-bird" is back. You get slapped in the face when you buy one of those ******* anyhow
