Okay, so lately I've been having adware problems.
But now, this morning, I thought it somehow affected my Counter Strike! (Through trying to delete crap with HiJackThis!)
I joined a 20 ping server, only to find I was pinging 300!
K, so perhaps this isn't a big deal, but I figure it'd serve as a reminder:
In Counter Strike, there are many things you can cusomize. Type "net_graph 3" in console and you'll see your frame-rate, choke, etc. If your choke is anything above 0 (Mine was 30-40!) then you might want to check your "rate".
Type in "rate" in console and see a number, if its only 4 digits long (Like 1200 like mine was!) you just want to up that to something crazy (I put in "rate 20000") and instantly my ping was down to 18-24!
Okay, so I screwed over half of you that know this already, well the others get a treat, perhaps their rate's been killing their choke whigh has horribly affected their gameplay!

if i have a super old version of counterstrike can i just install it and upgrade or is there a whole new "cs2" or something out that i have to buy
HL2 runs on a whole new engine, as will the CS of it. So this new CS will be much more improved both in physics and graphics and will not be simply an "update" from 1.6
I think I knew what he meant banzai lol.

HL2 and CS for it didn't come out yet, due in the fall i believe....
