i found a John Morton lives on the same runway that my aunt in Utah does...

*John Morton

*Guest Instructor/Coach

Guest Instructor John Morton has driven virtually every type of road-racing machine, from production sports cars to proto-types to Indy Cars.

In 1964, John Morton tested and co-drove the Shelby 427 Cobra prototype with the late Ken Miles at Sebring. Then, in 1968, he won his first SCCA Divisional Championship. He won his second two years later, along with his first National Championship, driving a factory Datsun 240Z. John was part of the BRE (Brock Racing Enterprises) team in the 70’s. John Morton and Pete Brock (head cheese of BRE) helped Datsun win many SCCA championships with the 510 and the 240Z. In the 70's, he repeated as National Champion and later dominated the IMSA and Daytona-24Hour races for over a decade. Morton has been a frequent Can-Am competitor since 1977 and has done a great deal of endurance racing in recent years both in Europe and America.

John also drove the legendary Cobra Daytona Coupe to victory in the GT-5B group of the Monterey Historic Automobile Races of 2000. Of some interest to some, the car sold for $4,000,000 at auction that night.

John's priceless experience and expertise can be your guide. You too can learn from a legend with Cobra University!

who is now a guest instructor at Cobra University.
