So here's my issue. I got some other keys but none work. I went to several different places and found several different keys. So when I go to activate windows it says incorrect key. Do I need to Reinstall windows xp with a key I found or am I just not doing something right? Thanks again for all the help.

Cool

Since you used the key that came with the CD, you will most likely have to wipe and restart, using the cracked key this time...read my post above too, if that sounds like a bad idea (with all of the security leaks that XP seems to have), then do what they said and call em up and BS em...the end

Thanks for your help. I'll try to get the CD from my friend again and start over.

Yeah this "paying for software" argument could get intense, but I'll just leave you with this: if no one buys software, who will make it?
